Chinese calligraphic brushstrokes cojoin and\nrelease forests of unique&nbsp;idiomatic&nbsp;expression. Inner Mongolians\nfreely apply their own language alongside&nbsp;practising&nbsp;Chinese and some\nEnglish in daily life. My photography of publicly displayed Chinese\ncalligraphy, the official formal language of Inner Mongolia, provides an entry\npoint to a culture revealing a language of great wit and learned observation\ncapable of rendering a sophisticated, imaginative narrative in a single\ncharacter or engendering different, subtle and clever tertiary meanings as\ncharacters are set in relation one to another.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\"
